pretending…
The basic human equation of psychology is this; our beliefs work upon our attitudes which then get reflected in our behaviors.
The problem is that many of us do not even realize what we believe, that is why we think that life contains luck, and or fate.
Our beliefs create the scripts that we act out daily, and many times our beliefs were created or decided upon in a moment of upset where we were emotionally overwhelmed and made a choice towards survival.
Then as we move forward from that moment, we pretend it did not happen, and we ignore what we have chosen to believe. However, that belief is reflected every day in our attitudes and then our actions, and this is the creation of the scripts that we run in our lives.
We pretend we do not know why things we do not like happen to us, but we know. There is an itch, it could be deep in our gut, or in the back of our mind, or in our heart. This itch whispers to us to remember the choice.
The itch asks us to respond to the events in our lives instead of react to them. When we respond, we are consciously writing our script, rather than letting it happen in unawareness.
MEM is a method that assists a person to acknowledge and listen to their own itch.
When we do that, we stop pretending, and then we make our unconscious, conscious, no longer tossed in the storms of fate or luck.
